Carrot & Chilli Spread

A delicious smooth vegetable soup (not vegetarian).

You'll need 4 cups cubed butternut squash (or one large can of unsweetened pumpkin puree), and one pint of 10% cream or coconut milk.

This whole grain loaf is topped with wheatlets and has a subtly sweeter flavour than your average whole grain bread. Made with Canadian wheat; vegan-friendly.

Oats, cashews, walnuts, almonds, pecans, cranberries, apricots, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and coconut are tossed with olive oil, lightly sweetened with brown sugar, honey, and applesauce, flavoured with salt and spices, and toasted until golden.

Delicious with milk or yogurt.

If components stay sealed, they keep for 3-4 weeks (crostini does not need to be kept refrigerated).

Sliced salami, spiced cheese, house-made pork terrine and chicken pate, chutney or jam, grainy mustard, crisp crostini, briny olives, and crunchy cornichons are all included (click for more details).

Baguettes are made in-house at Hank's Cowichan, sliced thinly and brushed with extra virgin olive oil and kosher salt, then baked until crisp.
