IXIM is Cowichan Valley's own fresh corn tortilla maker. Their tortillas are made to order, using the best quality non-GMO yellow dent corn flour they are able to get their hands on! These tortillas rival even the best available in Mexico for freshness, flavour, and quality. 

Twelve 5.5" tortillas. 100% gluten-free (backed by The Celiac Scene)

Ingredients: heirloom non-GMO corn, water, and lime.

Low in fat, a good source of dietary fibre and healthy carbohydrates, and a low glycemic index of 40. Each tortilla contains less than 50 calories.

Storage: Fresh tortillas keep well in the pantry for 2 days, or in the fridge for up to 5 days. Store your tortillas in air-tight containers or plastic wrap to keep out moisture. You can also freeze tortillas for up to 6 months. If you wish to freeze them, put them in a freezer bag or vacuum-seal bag to prevent freezer burn.

Serving instructions: 
Fresh corn tortillas naturally stiffen up a bit when cool. This does not mean that they've staled; simply warm them up before you eat them:
    -Heat a pan on the stove to medium. Spread the tortillas over the pan evenly.
    -Sprinkle them with a few drops of water, and cover with a lid.
    -Heat for 15 seconds on each side and they'll be soft and ready to eat!

Every taco we serve, from the Chorizo Vegetariano to the Fish Taco and the Chicken Tinga, are all pulled directly from Mexico's taco culture. We have dared to bring those flavours north and share them with you.  Tacos so good you will want them everyday - and that's okay, because it's okay to eat tacos everyday.

All our products are 100% gluten-free, backed up by The Celiac Scene.
